Q

In fetal circulation, where is the highest oxygenated blood? To where does it flow?

Blood from the superior vena cavae is more or less oxygenated?

To where does it go?

What absence causes vasoconstriction in the pulmonary arteries?

FLOW=GROW or NOT GROW?

Why does flow change after birth?

A

Umbilical veins.

Goes through ductus venosus, goes up inferior vena cavae, goes through patent foramen ovale, will go to the left atrium, left ventricle, and then through the aorta.

Blood from superior vena cavae is less oxygenated.

Flows through the right ventricle through the pulmonary arteries. Does not flow well due to high resistance.

Lack of OXYGEN. OXYGEN IS A POTENT VASODILATOR

Grow… duh.

Getting fluid out of lungs. Getting oxygen (potent vasodilator), , expansion of the lungs,
