A

Many options because there is a lot of anatomy to cover

  • either AP or PA Ribs
    • may be unilateral OR bilateral
  • Posterior Oblique Ribs
    • One per injured side
  • PA chest

Films size for Unilateral AP (or PA) Ribs

A

14 x 17” vertical

  • Move cassette to bodypart… then move CR to middle of cassette
  • above diaphragm = Top of cassette is 1.5 inches above VP
  • below diaphragm = Bottom of cassette goes to Iliac Crest

17 x 14” transverse

  • Move cassette to bodypart… then move CR to middle of cassette
  • above diaphragm = top of cassette is 1.5 inches above SHOULDERS
