What is adenomyosis?

A

presence of functional endometrial tissue in the myometrium of the uterus

endometriosis occurs outside the uterus, adenomyosis is strictly within the uterus

A

A

menorrhagia
dysmenorrhoea
deep dyspareunia
irregular bleeding

A

symmetrically enlarged tender uterus

hysterectomy w biopsy is definitive

A

COCP
