EF 25-50% LV >60mm LV wall thickness ~/increased Atrial size increased ++ Mitral, tricuspid ExertionalSOB, fluid retention. R congestive Sx AF, and if amyloid/sarcoid ventricular arrhythmias or conduction block

EF >60% LV reduced LV wall thickness increased ++ Atrial size increased +++ MR ExertionalSOB, Chest Pain L congestive Sx -late VT, AF

Work up for cardiomyopathy?
A
Hx, exam Family History: CHF, Cardiomyopathy, skeletal myopathy, conduction disorder, tachyarrhthmia, sudden death. ETOH, drugs, chemo, RT. Ability to do ADLs? Bloods, ECG, CXR, ECHO. Consider acute viral PCR, HIV, Chagas/Lyme/Toxoplasmosis. Angiogram Serology for rheumatology Endomyocardial biopsy ESS +/- SS ?OSA

EF >30% LV diastolic dimension >60mm Reduced LV thickness Increased atrial size Assoc mitral (early) and tricuspid (late) regurg. 1st sx SOBOE Assoc VT, AF
