Q

Classical Conditioning of Compensatory Responses

A

UCR is actually the compensatory response which because the CR as well. the responses do not mimic the actual drug effect.

1
Q

Classical Conditioning of Drug Effects

A

Drug= UCS
effects of drug= UCR
Stimulus b4 the drug= CS
response to this CS without the drug= CR (withdrawal)

2
Q

Classical Conditioning of Drug Tolerance- Siegel (1975)

A
CS= environment repeatedly associated with drug use.
CR= compensatory responses not actually drug effects.
3
Q

Classical Conditioning of Withdrawal?

A

when the subject returns to the environment ( CS) associated with drug use but without the actual drug in their system they will experience withdrawal (CR). It will only go away via extinction !

4
Q

Extinction?

A

repeated exposure to the CS without the presence of the UCS (drug) until the CR (comp.response) no longer occurs.
