A

Right down the corpus collasum
Can clearly see ventricles
Right down midline

21
Q

Horizontal cut of the brain

A

Cut like a hamburger bun

22
Q

Transverse/coronal cut

A

Cut like a loaf of bread

23
Q

Meninges

A

Central nervous system covered by perceptive sheath called meninges

Meninges in brain:

  • Dura mater outermost layer
  • Arachnoid mater middle layer located between dura mater and pia mater
  • Pia mater layer of the meninges that clings to the surface of the brain thin and delicate
24
Q

Subarachnoid space

A

Between Arachnoid membrane and arachnid trabeculae

Filled with cerebrospinal fluid

(Arachnoid trabeculae located here as well)
