What is a Bulla
Fluid-filled lesion greater than 1cm in diameter
What is crust
Dried serum, pus or blood
What is erythema
Vascular dilation and inflammation producing redness to the skin
What is Excoriation
Self induced scratch marks
What is Lichenification
Chronic thickening and increased marking of the skin caused by scratching
What is a macule
Change in colour or texture without elevation
What is a nodule
raised lesion with a rounded surface greater than 1cm in diameter
What is a papule
solid, raised lesion less than 1cm in diameter
What is a plaque?
Elevated plateau of skin, often greater than 1cm
What is a pustule?
Puss filled lesion
What is scale?
Flakes arising from abnormal stratum corneum
What is telangiectasia?
Small dilated blood vessel near skin surface
what is a vesicle?
a fluid- filled lesion less than 1cm
What is a weal?
a raised compressible are of dermal oedema
