If there is a conflict, clarify the nature of the conflict, make known your commitment to the ethics code and take reasonable steps to resolve the conflict consistent with ethical principles and standards and in a way that doesn’t violate human rights. Also, you may adhere to the requirements of the law or other governing legal authority.
What does ethical principle 1.03 Conflicts between ethics and organizational demands?

If a violation has or will substantially cause harm and an informal resolution is not appropriate or resolved properly, you should take further action suitable to the situation like reporting it to respective boards. But ONLY if it DOESN’T VIOLATE CONFIDENTIALITY.

Should cooperate in ethics investigations, etc because failure to do so is a violation. You must ALWAYS consider client CONFIDENTIALITY
What does ethical principle 1.07 Improper Complaints state?
Do not file or encourage the filing of complaints that are made with reckless disregard for or willful ignorance of facts that would disprove the allegation.
What does ethical principle 1.08 Unfair discrimination against complainants and respondents state?
Do not discriminate against people who are complainants or respondents to a ethics violation solely on the basis of being the subject of a complaint. ONLY in PENDING cases.
