What is the mechanism of androgentic alopecia

A

Gradual minituriazation of the hair. Transformation of large terminal follicles to small vellus follicles. The hair becomes basically invisible. SO with common baldness, you’re not actually losing hair as much as the follicles and hair are just becoming tiny.

It usually regrows in 6-12 mths unless the precipitating cause is repeated.
