- Ultimate vs Actual Criterion: the ultimate criterion is the accurate and complete measure of performance, whereas actual is the way performance is actually measured.
- Relevance: criterion construct validity-degree to which it measures the ultimate criterion.
- Deficiency: degree to which the actual criterion DOES NOT measure all aspects of the ultimate criterion (limits criterion relevance)
Contamination: when actual criterion assesses factors other than those it was designed to measure (limits relevance).

What is Meyer and Allen’s three component model of organizational commitment?
They distinguish between three types of organizational commitment:
- Affective commitment - worker’s identification with, emotional attachment to, and involvement in the organization.
- Continuance commitment - worker’s perceptions regarding the social and monetary costs of leaving the organization.
- Normative commitment - worker’s sense of obligation to remain with the organization because of the belief that it is the right thing to do.
Of Meyer and Allen’s organizational commitment model, which component is most consistently related to aspects such as turnover, absenteeism, job performance, personal stress, etc
Affective Commitment
