Thymus abnormalities in patients with MG ?

A

In appr. 65% of patients the thymus is hyperplastic but not necessarily enlarged. An additional 10% of patients have thymic tumors (thymomas).

In women in their twenties and thirties and in men in their fifities and sixties.

Bulbar weakness.
