Q

How do these patients present?

Usually with a nephritis syndrome

4
Q

What is seen on biopsy?

A

Not usually done unless atypical presentation.
Inflammatory reaction affecting mesangial endothelial cells

Immunofluorescence shows IgG and C3 deposits.

5
Q

What is shown by serology?

A

Increased ASOT (anti streptococcal antibodies), increased C3

6
Q

What is treatment?

A

Supportive,

95% recover renal function
