what happens in rhesus haemolytic disease

A

Rh -ve delivers Rh +ve, leak of fetal red cells into maternal circulation- anti D IgG antibodies- isoimmunisation. in later pregnancies these can cross placenta

why might a first pregnancy have rhesus haemolytic

A

threatened miscarriage, APH, trauma, amniocentesis, CVS, ECV

A

booking, 28 weeks, 34 weeks

if already sensitised

A

Kleihauer test- find amount fetal Hb being transferred from fetus to mother
