1
Q

What is a series circuit?

A

When the different components are connected in a line (end to end ) between the positive and negative of the power supply

2
Q

What is the exception in a series circuit?

A

Voltmeters (always in parallel even in series circuit)

3
Q

What happens if you remove or disconnect one component?

A

The circuit is broken and they all stop working

Which is why few things are connected in series

4
Q

How is potential difference distributed?

A

The total potential difference of the supply is shared between all the components

Voltage around the circuit adds up to the source voltage

5
Q

What is the current like in a series circuit?

A

Same current flows through all parts of the circuit

6
Q

What is the size of the current determined by?

A

The total potential difference of the cells and the total resistance in the circuit

7
Q

How do you dims the total resistance in a circuit?

A

All up all of the resistances

8
Q

What does a component with a greater resistance have?

A

A bigger share of the total potential difference

9
Q

What happens when two batteries of voltage 1.5 V are connected in series?

A

They supply 3V between them
