context changing. The bible was written by evangelists who saw what the world needed to be taught. e.g. homosexual acts were becoming an issue because it devalued marriage. However in this world we know that being gay is natural and part of genetic makeup

Anglican church priests are allowed to be gay e.g. Gene Robinson

Gay clergy are allowed to marry, as long as they take a vow of chastity

In the bible it suggests that only those married should live together- however DAS 8/10 people live together before marriage- statistically less people get divorces

the number of people choosing not to get married has more than halved since 1983- showing that context has changed- people value relationships without the title of marriage
