A

Flat, bluish purple on epidermis, on face

A

Raised, bright red area with well defined borders about 2-3cm.

A

Appearance of blood vessels on skin surface that become permanently enlarged and dilated.

Cavernous Hemangioma (Mature)

A

Reddish blue irregular shape, spongy and solid mass of blood vessels.

Spider/ Star Angioma

A

Fiery red, star shaped marking, with solid circular centre. Capillary radiations (legs) extend from centre.

Venous Lake

A

Blue, purple dilation of Veniceโ€™s and capillaries. Pressure causes them to empty or disappear.

Purpura

A

Extensive patch of confluent petechiae and ecchymosis > 3mm flat, red to purple, macular hemorrhage.

A

Tiny little dots, punctuate hemorrhages 1-3mm, round and discrete.

Purplish patch > 3mm, from extravasation of blood into skin
