HCV associations

A
  1. Systemic cryoglobulinaemic vasculitis- palpable purpura. Mixed cryoglobulinaemia in 50% HCV. 90% mixed cryo associated with HCV. Gives you low C4 and high RF. Bx shows leukoclastocytic vasculitis. Cold precipitating hence see in peripheries
  2. Necrolytiv acral oedema- discrete plaques with scale and erosion on lower extremities in patients with HCV. Associated with zinc def, always in people with HCV
  3. Porphyria cutania tarda- vesicles and village on sun exposed skin. Up to 50 percent have HCV
