HCV associations
A
- Systemic cryoglobulinaemic vasculitis- palpable purpura. Mixed cryoglobulinaemia in 50% HCV. 90% mixed cryo associated with HCV. Gives you low C4 and high RF. Bx shows leukoclastocytic vasculitis. Cold precipitating hence see in peripheries
- Necrolytiv acral oedema- discrete plaques with scale and erosion on lower extremities in patients with HCV. Associated with zinc def, always in people with HCV
- Porphyria cutania tarda- vesicles and village on sun exposed skin. Up to 50 percent have HCV
