the Maxillary Artery supplies what structures?
- muscles of mastication
- oral and nasal cavities
(teeth & surrounding tissues)
Branches of Maxillary artery is divided into 2 regions
- infratemporal
2. pterygopalatine
Infratemporal Arteries
- middle meningeal
- inferior alveolar (bifurcates) to..
a. mylohyoid
b. mental
c. incisive - deep temporal
- pterygoid branches
- masseteric
- buccal
Middle meningeal supplies what structures?
Meninges (sits right underneath the pterion: weakest part of the skull)
Inferior alveolar supplies what structures?
feeds the posterior teeth, gingiva, periodontium of the mandible
Inferior Alveolar bifurcates as?
**this is the 3rd artery that supplies the mylohyoid muscle
leads to mental and incisive arteries

Deep temporal artery supplies what structures?
temporalis muscle
Pterygoid Branches supplies what structures?
medial/lateral pterygoid muscles
Masseteric artery supplies what structures?
masseter muscle
Buccal artery supplies what structures?
buccinator
the buccinator is supplied by two arteries: Maxillary and facial
Maxillary artery will give off 3 branches that goes to the 4 muscles of mastication…what are the 4 muscles?
temporalis, m/l pterygoid, and masseter
The incisive artery is the artery that?
STAYS inside the mandible (mandibular anterior and premolars teeth, periodontia, and gingiva of the mandible)
The mental artery is the artery that?
is going to come out of the mental foramen (tissues of the chin)
The mylohyoid artery supplies what structures?
floor of the mouth and the mylohyoid muscle
