What is International Law?

International Law is a system of agreements and treaties between countries that attempts to control how nations interact with other nations, citizens, and businesses. This vast area of law encompasses standards of international behavior, human rights law, environmental law, humanitarian law, the laws of the sea, diplomatic law, and economic law.

An International law attorney might be involved in civil matters such as international commerce disputes, international taxation, immigration, or they may even prosecute war crimes and negotiate extradition for citizens overseas.
