Full Time Employment
these employees usually work between 35 to 38 hours per week. They are entitled to a set of 11 National Employment Standards
Part time employment
these employees work less than the ordinary full time hours. They have the same entitlements and job security of those of full time. However, their entitlements are calculated on a proportional basis
Fixed Term Employment
employment offered for a specific period.
- Wages and conditions are the same of those of permanent workers but their employment has a pre arranged finishing date
Casual Employment
workers employed on a daily or hourly basis. They do not know the length of their employment and will not receive notice for their termination. The hours or days worked will also change per week. They do not receive any entitlements.

All employees, have an entitlement to superannuation. It is the money put aside by your employer for your retirement. You can access your superannuation when you retire. Employers are required to make superannuation contributions for all employees aged between 18 and 69 who are paid more than $450 before tax in a calendar month.
