What is an Arithmetic Sequence?
An Arithmetic Sequence has successive terms that differ by the same number, called the common difference.
What is an Arithmetic Series?
An Arithmetic Series is the sum of the terms of an arithmetic sequence.
What is the Formula for finding the nth Term in an Arithmetic Sequence?
a(subscript)n=a(subscript)1+(n-1)d. You swap all of the n’s for the number of the term you want in the arithmetic sequence.
What is the Formula for finding the Sum of an Arithmetic Series?
S(subscript)n=n(a1+a(subscript)n)/2.
