Explain the ‘Enhanced Powers’ that are available to deal with ASB

• The dispersal power - Can be used by a Police officer or a PCSO. Used to make an ASB offender or potential offender leave an area for up to 48 hrs to breach this order is a criminal offence.
• The closure power - Close premises which are being used, or likely to be used, to commit nuisance or disorder. Breach is a criminal offence.
• Community protection notice - To stop persistent anti-social individuals, businesses or organisation. Breach is a criminal offence.
• Public spaces protection order - Protects public spaces from persistent Anti-Social individuals or groups.
• Absolute grounds for possession - can be used by landlords to evict tenants where ASB or criminality has already been proven by another court
• Criminal behaviour order -Used to deal with persistent
  offenders. Issued by a criminal court for any criminal offence
