-Trait theory- you have it or you don’t, leaders are born not made, identifies characteristics and behaviors of effective leaders, self-confidence, humility, trustworthiness, tolerance of frustration
Styles theory
-Styles theory- are democracies always best? Democratic leaders are usually best, autocratic leaders may be more effective in a crisis or chaotic situation, laissez-faire leaders may succeed in mature and highly productive groups
