If the EDG is already running it will not trip on a loss of DC power because SV-6 keeps air on the throttle control cylinder

When the grid frequency drops the EDG throttles fuel to lower EDG speed (prevent the EDG from picking up ALL grid load)

Explain what happens on an incomplete start sequence
- Stops giving air to EDG after 10 seconds if not at rated speed - Energizes the start relays - De-energizes the starting air valves - Extends the Throttle control cylinder for 2 mins - Seal-in circuit prevents start of EDG until reset from the control room
