Speed equation
Speed = distance/time
Acceleration equation
a = v - u /t Acceleration = (velocity - original speed) /time m/s(sq) = (m/s - m/s) /s
Speed time graphs
Gradient: acceleration Steep gradient: large acceleration Shallow gradient: small acceleration No gradient: constant speed Area under: distance travelled
Distance time graphs
Gradient: the speed in which an object is going
Steep gradient: fast speed
Shallow gradient: slow speed
No gradient: no speed
What is a Sankey diagram
Shows you how well a machine uses its energy. In other words, it tells you if it uses it efficiently or inefficiently. The thickness of the arrows shows how much energy is involved but the length is irrelevant. The wasted energy arrow faces down or up.
