It was only because of uncontrollable factors that this expansion occurred: King Mwanga revolted and killed 30 Catholics and protestants in 1886 provoking civil war and king fleeting, king then promised to be loyal to British and gave his land to British E A C in order to be restored which he was in 1889 but Britain had power of revenue collection justice and trade 2 company: such powers were later transferred to the crown in 1894 and buganda became a protectorate

A

30 Catholics and protestants killed by King Mwanga in revolt, he fled, for British to restore him to power in return for land and loyalty. My 1890 he signed treaty with lugard giving powe of revenue collection justice and trade to EAFC, these powers transferred to crown in 1894 and buganda became a protectorate
