How many types of moraine are there?
What is lateral moraine?
A long mound of material deposited where the side of the glacier was.
A long mound of material deposited where two lateral moraines have joined together as two glaciers meet. It's in the centre of the valley.
Builds up at snout of glacier when it remains stationary. Widest and highest type of moraine.
Is moraine left by a glacier during a temporary halt in the retreat of the ice.
