Q

Interference Current: Waveform

A
  1. Two circuit static (one specific treatment area)
  2. Two circuit scanning (sweeping) pre-mod freq treats wide area
  3. Three circuit (3 dimensional treatment area)

NOTE: Two sine waves of medium frequency decrease skin resistance and create an endogenous polyphasic beat wave

Interference Current: Indications

A
Facial Neuritis (Bell's Palsy)
Musculoskeletal (sciatica, ankle sprain, heel spur, fractures)
Urogenital Dysfunction (stress and urge incontinence)
Pain Control (trauma, sprain/strain)
Vascular Condition (Raynauds - pad on stellate ganglia to clock sympathetic chain)

Q

Interference Current: Miscellaneous

A
  1. Sweeping / Sensory: pre-modulation current “sweeps” area, avoids accommodation (pps)
  2. Vectoring / Motor: increases the treatment area
  3. Scan: mA = area & size of muscle fibers effected
  4. Dosage: muscle strengthening 10 s on 50 s off
    muscle spasm 10 s on 10s off
