What is passive euthanasia?

Inducing death via non-direct means e.g. DNR, withholding life support

What is active euthanasia?

Active help to end someone's life e.g. with misazolam and KCl overdose OR with opiate overdose in palliative care

What is voluntary euthanasia?

Euthanasia performed with the patient's consent

What is involuntary euthanasia?

Where euthanasia is performed against the patient’s will
